I also needed tahini for tonight's dinner. I have bought tahini at Tom Thumb for $8 or so. When I found this "Sesame Paste" for $2.97, I decided it must be the same thing without the fancy "tahini" name, and it was.

I made Sesame-Maple Roasted Tofu out of Eating Well magazine. It was in the "fast weeknight recipes" section. Once again, a stir fry with no peppers. I've decided they leave those out on the "fast" recipes so that the ingredient list doesn't look as long. So, I added those. It also called for Udon Noodles, so I hunted those down in the refrigerated section of Asia World. If they have them in the dried section, I couldn't find them.
Gathered up all the ingredients...

While the tofu, onion, and peppers were roastin, I mixed up the sesame-maple sauce...

I served with a tomato-cucumber salad (tomato, cucumbers, minced garlic, green onions, basil, balsamic vinegar, EVOO, salt&pepper)...

My opinion on the tofu:
It needed more spice. We added Sriracha sauce at the table. Did not care for the Udon noodles. Gummy and chewy. I'll make some whole wheat angel hair spaghetti when I eat the leftovers for lunch today. I liked the tahini flavor - it was kind of like peanut butter.
